Dublin, Ireland Tines Full time

Founded in 2018 in Dublin, Tines is a smart, secure workflow platform designed to automate any manual task, regardless of complexity. By automating workflows, Tines empowers frontline teams to reduce monotonous, manual work and free up valuable time and resources.

Tines is an integrator across your entire stack - if it offers an API, Tines connects with it. Having firmly established Tines as the de-facto automation platform for cybersecurity teams, we’re expanding horizontally to IT, Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams. Tines was built for everyone, delivering transformative and innovative enterprise software to industry leaders like Canva, Intercom, Databricks, Mars, and Reddit.

We’re excited about what we’re doing and what’s to come, and we’re looking for others who can lead by our values of Simplicity, Speed, and Soundness. Because Tines is about delivering exceptional customer experiences, while creating a company culture that nurtures individual curiosity, growth, and integrity.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Sales Compensation Specialist to join our Commercial Operations team. In this role, you will be our first dedicated sales compensation hire and will own the management of our sales compensation process end-to-end. You will be responsible for administering and ensuring the accuracy of our sales compensation processes. Your meticulous attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and ability to work cross-functionally will play a critical role in this role.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is highly detail-oriented, numerically literate, and very comfortable with spreadsheets and systems. They should be highly organised and diligent. We like to hire people with an ownership mindset. People willing to take on responsibility, unblock themselves, and get things done. Finally, this is a start-up, so ideally the person is excited by the prospect of coming in and being part of building something from the ground up with others who are equally energised by that same opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end process for sales compensation calculations, ensuring accuracy in payouts and alignment with plan rules.

- Prepare, validate, and distribute compensation statements to the sales team.

- Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely processing of payouts.

- Conduct detailed audits of data to ensure the integrity of quota attainment and commission calculations.

- Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into plan effectiveness and sales performance.

- Own the evolution of our sales compensation processes and tooling (CaptivateIQ) and up-level how we operate to help us rapidly scale.

- Contribute to the development and documentation of standardised compensation workflows.

- Partner with your Commercial Operations teammates and Finance to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries related to compensation.

- Support the design and roll-out of new sales compensation plans by providing data modelling and scenario analysis.

Experience/Requirements

- 4+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, or a related role.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with large datasets and creating automated reports.

- Familiarity with Salesforce and incentive compensation management (ICM) tools such as Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or Varicent is preferred.

- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaborating across teams and presenting findings.

At Tines, we’re all about trying new things and taking the leap. If you’re second-guessing your application, we hope you’ll trust your gut and take the leap too Applying for a new job isn’t always easy, especially if you’re thinking of a career pivot– but we’re big believers in learning and growth here at Tines, so you’ve nothing to worry about. A variety of experience, perspectives, and voices makes us the company we are. We’d love to hear from you.
