IT Infrastructure and Support Manager

Role Overview: We are seeking ahands-on IT Infrastructure and Support Managerto lead and support our IT operations across four sites in Ireland and the UK. This role is ideal for a technically proficient leader with a strong background in infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user support within amanufacturing environment. You will manage a small team, oversee critical systems, and ensure high standards of service delivery, security, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2 IT Infrastructure and Support Specialists. Foster a high-performance culture with a strong focus on service excellence. Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues. Infrastructure & Systems Management Maintain and support a hybrid IT infrastructure including: Networking:Fortinet switches/firewalls/APs, Aruba & TP-Link switches, DrayTek firewalls, Ubiquiti APs Servers & Virtualization:Windows Server 2016, VMware, HPE SimpliVity Cloud & Identity:Microsoft Azure, Azure File Storage, Active Directory Endpoints:Windows 10/11, Raspberry Pi Security:Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, Barracuda SKOUT, Fortinet Security Suite Access & Surveillance:Verkada CCTV and Access Control Collaboration:Microsoft Teams, Yealink Meeting Rooms Cybersecurity & Compliance Champion cybersecurity best practices across all sites. Ensure compliance withNIS2,GDPR, and contribute to the journey towardsISO 27001certification. Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response drills. Project & Vendor Management Lead infrastructure and security projects from planning to execution. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements. Oversee IT budgets, procurement, and cost optimization. Operational Support Provide hands-on support including: Cable installation and hardware deployment (APs, CCTV, access controllers). System administration, patching, and monitoring. Asset management and lifecycle planning. Participate in the on-call rota and be available for out-of-hours support when required. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a similar hands-on IT infrastructure leadership role. Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and tools. Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently across sites. Desirable Certifications: Level 8 Degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Fortinet NSE certifications Microsoft Azure and Server certifications VMware VCP CompTIA Security+ / CISSP / CISM ITIL Foundation ISO 27001 Lead Implementer (or working towards) Personal Attributes: High attention to detail and a drive for excellence.
