Scope of Role

Deliver best in class performance through professional, competitive and efficient buying processes, controls and systems.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

- Responsible for procurement to pay process from Sourcing to invoice clearance
- Supplier sourcing and negotiations
- Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders
- Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries
- The preparation of regular reports on purchasing activities
- Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers
- Maximise value opportunities through adherence to specific supplier agreements
- Assist buyers and data management in further developing low value high volume product categories
- Take the lead on materials purchasing for specific projects as assigned by purchasing manager
- Assist buyers and purchasing manager in eliminating wasteful processes
- All other duties associated with that role
- A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar role in the construction, engineering or manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of Tool and Plant for construction.
- Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience
