This is a full-time, permanent Monday to Friday role, with flexibility required to meet the evolving needs of the business. You are a commercially focused and driven leader, who will oversee all aspects of depot operationsfrom managing daily workflows and leading a high-performing team to ensuring the brand retains its market-leading position. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for delivering key financial and operational objectives while consistently driving sales growth. Your remit will span core functions including operations, sales, finance, marketing, inventory control, and customer service. You will manage budgets, maintain stock accuracy, and champion service excellencecombining strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to achieve strong commercial results and operational efficiency. Operational safety will be a top priority, with strict adherence to company procedures across all warehouse activities. You will lead by example, ensuring all team members follow site regulations, maintain equipment standards, and contribute to a disciplined, safety-first culture that supports high performance. Responsibilities Oversee daily depot operations, ensuring efficient workflow and team alignment to meet customer demands. Lead and develop a high-performing team across sales, customer service, and warehouse functions. Drive sales growth through strategic planning and collaboration with internal departments. Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure profitability targets are consistently achieved. Maintain stock accuracy through effective coordination with warehouse and inventory control teams. Champion customer service excellence by resolving escalations and promoting a customer-first culture. Enforce health and safety standards, including oversight of forklift operations and equipment maintenance. Conduct routine safety audits and coordinate staff training to ensure full compliance with regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including transport, finance, and marketing to support business objectives. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and team performance. Requirements Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years experience in wholesale, depot management, or a similar operational leadership role. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment. Track record of delivering consistent year-on-year sales growth and meeting commercial targets. Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with ERP or warehouse management platforms. Solid knowledge of market trends and customer expectations within the electrical goods sector. Skilled in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting to support strategic decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
