We are seeking a Production Supervisor for a busy Listowel manufacturing facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for production output and supervising the operatives on the shift. The working week will be Monday to Friday on evening / night shift. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the production machines on the shift. This will involve troubleshooting, fine-tuning of process and fixing machine breakdowns. It will also involve removing and setting up moulds in machines. Responsibilities: Produce the product according to agreed Quality standards and specifications. Maximise output without compromising quality. Mould changeovers, machine maintenance, fix breakdowns, fault finding and process optimisation. Supervise, motivate and develop employees to achieve maximum output Manage employees in a fair and reasonable manner and refer all disciplinary matters to management. Comply with company policy and procedures and ensure that all cleanroom and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times. Responsible for safe work environment Organise and plan production to ensure that it is achieved in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Ensure adequate raw materials are in the system for the duration of shift and the start of the next shift. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a technical background i.e., a fitter or mechanic by trade Will have worked in a manufacturing environment previously. Previous experience in Injection moulding machines would also be a distinct advantage. Hard working and must have the ability to prioritise work & meet challenges head on Organisational, planning, and effective communication skills are necessary to fulfil this role. He/she must be flexible and willing to work late or start early on occasions.
