Job Description Exciting opportunity with leading environmental consultancy – flexible office locations in Ireland. This is a fantastic role for someone who is comfortable with EIARs and the methodology of carrying them out. Experience in renewable energy projects – particularly wind and solar – will be highly valued.
Projects: Large-scale wind farm and solar energy projects (including offshore)
Waste-to-energy and manufacturing developments
Large-scale residential developments across Galway and Dublin
Role: Work closely with the Environmental Team on a variety of EIAR and planning projects.
Manage and oversee projects day-to-day, including fee agreements, invoicing, and meeting client expectations.
Take full ownership of projects from inception to completion – ensuring deadlines, quality, and profitability are achieved.
Oversee and mentor junior team members and sub-consultants to deliver top-quality outputs.
Report regularly to the Environmental Team Director and provide updates to clients.
Play a role in business development by supporting proposals, spotting opportunities, and helping grow the team’s work pipeline.
Requirements: Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years’ post-graduate experience in a consultancy environment.
Strong experience with EIARs and a solid understanding of the methodology behind delivering them.
A proven track record working on large-scale projects, ideally within renewables (wind/solar preferred).
Excellent understanding of the Irish planning system.
Broad technical knowledge across civil engineering, construction management, ecology, hydrology/hydrogeology, noise, air, traffic, geotechnical, and other EIAR subject areas.
