Cost & Payroll Officer

We are hiring an experienced Cost & Payroll Officer for our client, a global leader in manufacturing in Cavan. This is a key operational role for a detail-oriented professional who can oversee end-to-end payroll processes, manage employee expenses, and ensure full compliance across Irish and UK jurisdictions.

Duties:



Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Ireland and coordinate submissions to the UK payroll provider.


Oversee salary payments, employee benefits (pensions, BIK, bonuses, share schemes), and payroll journal uploads to the ERP system.


Review and approve employee expense submissions, ensuring policy compliance and accurate SAP Concur uploads.


Maintain compliance with Revenue/HMRC requirements, including ROS filings, RTR, and ERR reporting.


Prepare monthly employee cost reports, headcount data, CSO submissions, and provide insights on expenses and travel trends.


Support internal and external audits by maintaining strong financial controls aligned with Group Accounting standards.


Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT on onboarding/offboarding processes, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.



Skills:



Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll processing within a multinational or complex environment.


IPASS qualification required.


Strong knowledge of Irish and UK payroll legislation, taxation, and Revenue/HMRC filing requirements.


Experience managing employee expenses and ERR reporting with strong attention to detail.


Proficient in ERP systems, SAP Concur, and Microsoft Office; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
