As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our team and ensure the efficient operation of our busy garage. Role Overview As Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop, managing a team of mechanics and ensuring all repairs and services are carried out to the highest standards. You will be responsible for workflow management, quality control, customer service, and team leadership while maintaining a productive and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of mechanics, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Plan and coordinate daily workflow to maximise efficiency. Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing, ensuring timely completion. Maintain excellent customer service, providing clear communication on job progress. Manage parts ordering and inventory to keep the workshop running smoothly. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and industry standards. Monitor and improve workshop performance, identifying areas for cost savings. Train and mentor staff, keeping them up to date with the latest automotive technologies. Requirements Fully qualified mechanic with significant hands-on experience. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within an automotive workshop. Strong technical knowledge across a range of vehicle makes and models. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Ability to manage workflow efficiently and meet deadlines. Strong customer service and communication abilities. Proficiency with diagnostics tools and garage management software (preferred). A valid drivers license.
