Job Purpose Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Marketing Team Leader to manage a team of Vendor Marketing Managers, working across a range of different brands. CMS Distribution is a leading specialist distributor supplying business and consumer technology products. This role will lead and oversee the development of vendor marketing plans, based upon market analysis, account priorities and commercial objectives. You will be responsible for promoting our marketing services and pitching to leading tech brands to execute campaigns that enable business growth. Using analytics and communicating with our sales and account managers, you will identify improvement opportunities to ensure ROI is maximised and commercial challenges are addressed. Role Responsibilities Team Leader Team Leader for Vendor Marketing Managers, including 1-2-1 meetings, day-to-day management, sharing recognition with the team and keeping them motivated to achieve. Conduct quarterly EE reviews with the team, providing clear direction and guidance on objectives. Ensure key team objectives are met, planning needed resource and timelines, using excellent organisational skills to meet KPIs. Mentoring team members, providing constructive feedback and advice, identifying opportunities to upskill and develop the team. Supporting the team with building specialist skillsets and working on higher value tasks. Being commercially astute, measuring and monitoring the billable hours in the team. Assist with financial tasks such as managing budgets, raising POs and invoicing where appropriate. Appropriately delegate out key work within the team. Strategic Planning & Vendor Income: Develop fully integrated strategic plans with vendors to drive commercial targets Writing briefs and setting expectations so that campaigns are delivered in time and budget Manage all marketing budgets (with PMs and Account team) to ensure maximum exposure within accounts and campaigns deliver an ROI Develop and align quarterly marketing plans and strategies with key strategic partners Identifying opportunities for vendor collaboration and involvement in CMS led marketing strategies Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders to execute a fully integrated campaign Ability to meet vendor income targets each quarter Additional Responsibilities Partner Marketing Collaboration: Building relationships with customers to influence execution & unlock opportunities Develop strong relationships with partners, encouraging open, two-way communication channels Clear reporting of campaign plans to the business Communicate feedback from channel partners to relevant stakeholders Campaign Management: Clear alignment of channel creative to brand guidelines - both CMS and partner guidelines Monitoring activity to ensure partners execute per the agreed plans Communicate campaign effectiveness and ROI evaluation to the business Stakeholder Engagement: Improving internal collaboration with key stakeholders, commercial, and product vendors To lead and share best practice within the Marketing team and wider organisation. To own additional projects and relationships within CMS as needed. Understanding the customer and vendor account requirements and opportunities by developing prosperous relationships at all levels in the account. To create and implement marketing activities which will fulfil these needs in a timely, creative way. Influence, persuade and handle objections Excellent presentation skills Ability to travel Commercial ability to produce marketing plans, business cases and ROI on marketing spend Qualifications & Experience BSc or BA in relevant field.
