Overview A leading service provider in the food production sector is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their team. This is a mobile role ideal for someone based in the Midlands region, within 1.5 hours of Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining bakery and food production equipment across retail and production sites. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair faults in food production equipment, including elements, fans, motors, thermostats, gearboxes, and control systems. Carry out equipment installations at customer sites. Work independently from a company service van, ensuring timely and professional service delivery. Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of technical issues and solutions. Participate in a weekend on-call rota (every 4th or 5th weekend), with additional pay and overtime for callouts. Criteria Certification in electrical work is essential. Mechanical repair experience is highly desirable. Fluent English and excellent communication skills. Full, clean B-category driving licence required. Must be comfortable working independently and travelling extensively. Ideal base location: Midlands, within 1.5 hours of Dublin.
