Civil Engineer - Sports Facility Development Full-Time | Competitive Salary & Package A leading Irish contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for the delivery of a large-scale sports facility project in North County Dublin. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent salary and benefits package. About the Role The successful candidate will join a dynamic project team responsible for the full civil works package on a new sports facility development. You will play a key role in setting-out, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring all works are delivered to Irish standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day engineering activities on site. Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure project milestones are achieved. Perform setting-out for all civil and structural elements. Ensure works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Irish building regulations. Review drawings, technical specifications, and resolve site issues. Prepare daily/weekly reports, as-built documentation, and quality records. Manage inspections, QA/QC processes, and ensure adherence to the project programme. Liaise with local authorities, utilities, and stakeholders as required. Requirements Proven track record delivering civil engineering projects in Ireland (essential). Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a site engineering role. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, regulations, and procedures. Experience with setting-out equipment (Total Station / GPS). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team. Safe Pass and Manual Handling (or willingness to obtain).
