Portfolio Operations Associate

Here at Osborne, we are currently hiring for a Portfolio Operations Associate for one of our clients, an international private equity firm, now expanding into Dublin.
This is a front-line operational position where you’ll step inside newly acquired or invested businesses to analyse performance, uncover inefficiencies and implement practical improvements that drive profitability and scalability. Working closely with the senior leadership team and portfolio company management teams, you’ll support end-to-end transformation projects — from diagnostics and data analysis to execution and post-integration performance tracking.
You’ll gain rare, real-world exposure to how acquisitions are integrated, optimised and scaled within a private equity environment.

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Travel: Regular International travel (primarily UK & Ireland) required
Salary: €55,000–€65,000 DOE + comprehensive benefits package

Key Responsibilities:


Conduct operational and financial assessments of portfolio companies and acquisition targets.
Identify performance gaps, bottlenecks and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Assist in developing and implementing transformation plans across operations, finance, supply chain and digital systems.
Support post-acquisition integration projects- coordinating between the senior leadership team and portfolio management to align systems, processes and reporting.
Help establish KPIs, dashboards and reporting tools to track operational improvements and profitability metrics.
Conduct industry benchmarking and best-practice research to inform decision-making.
Contribute to presentations and strategic reviews for the senior leadership team.
Oversee implementation of approved operational changes, managing projects end-to-end from on-site supervision to remote monitoring.


Qualifications & Experience:


Experience in operations, management consulting, business analysis, or transformation roles, ideally with exposure to mergers & acquisitions or performance improvement.
Strong analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data to support decision-making.
Confident in Excel and comfortable preparing models, dashboards and reports.
Excellent communication and relationship skills- ability to work effectively across diverse teams and business environments.
Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple projects across sectors and geographies.
A self-starter with genuine curiosity about how businesses work and improve.
Flexible and willing to travel internationally to engage directly with portfolio companies, including on-site supervision of operational changes.
