We are proud to partner with a prestigious client in the hospitality industry to search for a talented Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team in Kinsale. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction at a luxury hotel & spa set in a stunning parkland location in Kinsale. This role involves supervising daily housekeeping operations (guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house), liaising closely with the front-of-house and maintenance teams, and leading a dedicated housekeeping team to exceed guest expectations. Salary: €30,000 per annum Work in a premium property with strong reputation for service excellence Employee benefits such as hotel/spa discounts, staff leisure club access and free parking Opportunity to lead, develop and mentor housekeeping colleagues An engaging environment in a scenic location with diverse guest mix Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise the housekeeping team on a shift-by-shift basis: allocate tasks, monitor performance, conduct briefings and ensure standards are met. Conduct inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas and back-of-house to ensure presentation, cleanliness and maintenance needs are proactively managed. Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance & Engineering teams to ensure room statuses, maintenance requests, guest special requests and lost & found items are handled in a seamless manner. Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, amenities and equipment; initiate ordering or receipt of stock to maintain department readiness. Maintain departmental records, checklists and reports (including room readiness, inspections, team attendance, supplies) to support operational efficiency. Support training, coaching and development of housekeeping staff - ensure team are fully aware of standards, procedures, health & safety guidelines and guest service expectations. Assist in rostering, managing shift cover, weekend and holiday flexibility, and ensure the team is resourced correctly for occupancy levels and events. Key Requirements Minimum 1 years' supervisory experience in a housekeeping or accommodation role within a 4-star or higher hotel/resort. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written), with the ability to liaise across departments and engage team members. A hands-on approach with attention to detail and a high standard of presentation. Basic competency in computer systems (for reporting, checklists, inventory) and a working knowledge of housekeeping operations & SOPs. Flexibility to work early/late shifts, weekends and public holidays when needed. A positive, guest-service focused attitude and the ability to motivate and influence a team.
