Senior Analyst, Network Operations

Overview

The Load Balancer Operations Team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the platform, including the Analysis, Patching, and Operational Support of all load balancer configurations at Mastercard.

The primary responsibility of a Load Balancer Operations Analyst is ensuring infrastructure configurations and monitoring capabilities adhere to Mastercard standards, processes, availability requirements, and best practices.

Requires a deep understanding of load balancer hardware, networking, security and tools used to monitor, test and troubleshoot those technologies.

This is a hands-on role that monitors and ensures load balancer stability to achieve 99.999% uptime across the Mastercard enterprise network.

Responsibilities

Interact with the engineering and project teams to transform business and technical requirements into load balancer monitoring strategies.

Support the creation of solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market.

Contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues within functional area of expertise.

Develop and maintain automation around troubleshooting and overall stability of load balancer instances and configurations.

Lead troubleshooting sessions and collaborate with Operations staff to support complex environments.

Collaborate with Business Operations and Service Delivery teams to architect complex network design solutions for scale.

All About You / Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related.

Strong experience with Internet / data center architecture and monitoring standards.

Strong experience with load balancers and web application firewalls.

Network Connectivity – IPv4, IPv6, port assignment.

Experience with one of the following technologies: Citrix NetScaler, HA Proxy, AVI and F5 BIG-IP products preferred.

Expert at SSL and digital certificates.

Experience with load balancing HTTP/HTTPS.

Web and Middleware experience preferred.

Experience with TCP/IP protocol communication.

Linux kernel commands for troubleshooting and network diagnostics.

Interact with development and project teams to transform requirements into load balancer architecture design.

Develop monitoring solutions with innovation and cost effectiveness.

Develop and maintain automation around build and deployment of load balancer instances and configurations.

Experience in multi-cloud environments that include public, private and hybrid clouds.
