Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to lead and develop the finance function, ensuring robust financial control, strategic insight, and effective decision support to drive business performance. This role is a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to long-term strategy while overseeing day-to-day financial operations. Key Responsibilities Lead the finance function, ensuring high standards of financial control, compliance, and reporting. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support strategic objectives. Provide clear financial insight and analysis to guide decision-making across the business. Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and investment planning. Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners. Identify and implement process improvements, systems enhancements, and efficiency gains. Monitor and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Skills and Experience Required Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally at Head of Finance, Finance Director, or similar level. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of compliance requirements. Commercially astute, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of developing talent. Strong systems knowledge, including financial reporting tools and ERP systems. High attention to detail, with the ability to work strategically and operationally. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Personal Attributes Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach when needed. Confident decision-maker with sound judgment.
