Overview

INFORM3 RECRUITMENT – Plant Manager. Job Location: Cork. Sector: Civil.

Inform3 are recruiting for a Plant Manager to join a busy civils contractor based in Cork who will be responsible for the overall management, operations and repairs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a successful contractor that is continually growing and has a wealth of experience. The client is seeking a Plant Manager that has knowledge and experience managing a team and Heavy Plant and Machinery.

Plant Manager Responsibilities

- Report to the Senior Management Team
- Coordinating and supervising the maintenance and repair of mechanical and plant equipment and machinery
- Liaise with Site teams regarding requirements
- Coordinate the delivery and installation of Plant, Machinery and Equipment
- Ensure all Plant, Machinery and Equipment is tracked and managed effectively
- Complete any light maintenance if necessary and ensure upkeep of plant and equipment
- Review overall labour and material requirements
- Identify parts and replacement equipment and source quotes
- Ensure the plant department operates to the highest standards
- Ensure that all plant and equipment and stock items are issued to sites as required
- Establish and manage budgets and targets for assigned areas of responsibility
- Attend Senior Management meetings when appropriate
- Repairs, and servicing to large and small plant and machinery

Plant Manager Specification

- Plant Management Background
- Experience in repairs and servicing to large and small plant and machinery
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering or related field
- 5 years or more experience in a similar role
- Highly organised and motivated
- Experience with Plant and Machinery
- Able to use Microsoft Office
- Strong technical and diagnostic ability
- Driven and motivated
- Full driving licence
