We are looking for a Project Manager to join the team. The successful applicant will be based full time in one of our client offices in Mayo.**Key Responsibilities:*** Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion in consultation with the client team, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.* Act on behalf of the client as the primary contact between the client and the various engineering delivery teams and consultants.* Co-Ordination of Multi-Disciplinary Design Teams.* Work closely with the client team and internal stakeholders to coordinate project activities, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.* Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.* Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with industry regulations and organisational policies.* Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and senior management.* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and progress reports.* Assist in the development of Funding Applications to the government bodies.**Key Skills and Qualifications:*** Experience in project management experience, preferably in an engineering or consulting environment.* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, Climate & Environmental Sustainability, or a related field.* Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera and MS Office Suite).* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, consulting engineers and architects, client’s team members, and stakeholders.* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.* Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.* Have a strong knowledge of construction health and safety including the roles and responsibilities of appointed duty holders i.e. Client, PSCS & PSDP.* Be able to comprehend design risk assessment and implement safe systems of work.* Experience and knowledge of sustainability and carbon reduction management is beneficial but not necessary.**Desirable Skills and Qualifications (beneficial but not essential):*** Experience in airfield projects* Chartered Engineer / Chartered Project Professional* Proficiency in AutoCAD* Proficiency in Microsoft Project* Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Property Manager at the Client Office and to the Technical Director of Atkins Realis on a monthly basis or as requested intermittinglyAt AtkinsRéalis we put Environment, Sustainability and Health & Safety at the heart of our business strategy.
