Job Description

Project Manager (Design, Consenting and Construction) – Join our Project Management team as a Project Manager. We are looking for a dedicated professional to fulfil a client-side Project Management role, driving the successful delivery of projects across Ireland.

You will work on exciting projects of varying size and scale, across a variety of sectors, including higher education, life sciences, renewable energy, commercial, leisure, residential, and public realm. This role is a unique opportunity to manage projects across their entire lifecycle, from identification of an opportunity through defining the project, planning and managing its design, consenting, and execution, and ensuring satisfactory close-out on final completion. You will collaborate with leading project design and delivery professionals, and contribute to great projects that enhance peoples’ lives and the environment.

What You’ll Bring to MKO

- Assist in the management of all stages of various projects on behalf of our clients.

- Manage projects from opportunity identification through defining, planning, design, consenting, execution, and satisfactory close-out.

- Conduct day-to-day coordination of project activity at all project stages.

- Communicate effectively (verbal & written) with diverse project stakeholders, including client personnel, community groups, design teams, contractors, and statutory bodies.

- Manage and administer processes for procuring Design Teams and contractors.

- Track and report on project performance and progress relative to agreed milestones and goals.

- Produce high-quality, accurate written reports and technical documents, including Project Execution Plans, Project Progress Reports, and Feasibility Assessments.

Grow With Us

At MKO, your professional development is important to us, with ongoing opportunities for growth and development, and a chance to make a tangible impact on the environment. As you gain experience, the successful candidate will work on or lead progressively larger and more complex projects. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, recognising the contribution you will make. Our people also benefit from flexible work arrangements that support well-being and work-life balance.

What We’re Looking for in You

- We’re seeking a highly communicative and motivated professional who can manage multiple work streams while maintaining attention to detail.

- A degree in a construction-related discipline: Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Landscape Design, or Construction Management.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively liaise with all project stakeholders.

- The capacity to work effectively as part of a team and take a leadership role when required.

Ideally, you will also possess

- At least 2 years of post-graduation experience, ideally in construction-related professional services.

- Experience of working as part of, or managing, a client design team comprising multiple professionals.

We actively embrace diversity and inclusion as fundamental elements of our workplace culture. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, recognising that a diverse team fosters innovation, creativity, and a more dynamic work environment. We promote a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique strengths.
