POSITION DETAILS:
Position Title: Account Manager, Ireland
Reports to: Country Manager
Department: Bytes International
PURPOSE OF JOB:
The primary role of the Account Manager for Ireland is to drive customer acquisition, account management, and revenue growth for Bytes International. This individual will focus on building and nurturing client relationships, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring the alignment of local customer needs with Bytes' global objectives. The Account Manager will work closely with the sales, vendor, and operational teams to develop tailored solutions, manage client portfolios, and achieve sales targets while supporting the broader growth strategy in the Irish market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sales and Customer Acquisition:
- Client Acquisition: Actively engage in the identification, targeting, and acquisition of new customers in Ireland, contributing to Bytes' revenue growth.
- Account Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Sales Targets: Work to meet or exceed sales quotas, developing and implementing strategies to capture new business and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Bid Support: Collaborate with global and regional teams on local and international bids, ensuring alignment with Bytes' global sales objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Client Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for aligned customers, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their business needs and offering solutions that align with Bytes' services.
- Client Satisfaction: Ensure clients receive excellent service throughout the sales lifecycle, addressing any concerns or issues, and consistently delivering on customer success goals.
- Market Development:
- Market Strategy: Support the execution of Bytes' market strategy in Ireland by identifying growth opportunities, contributing to market positioning, and helping the business expand its market share.
- Vendor and Partner Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, such as Microsoft, AWS, and HPE, to enhance Bytes' service offerings.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Sales Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on account performance, pipeline, revenue growth, and market insights to the Country Manager, regional and global leadership.
- CRM Hygiene: Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer, prospect, and suspect information covering organisation, contacts, opportunities, and activities.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Global Alignment: Work closely with Bytes' global and regional teams to ensure consistency in service delivery and sales strategies, contributing to the larger business objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and successful sales efforts.
- Customer Success Focus: Work closely with post-sales teams to ensure the smooth transition from sale to service delivery, and to drive ongoing customer success.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in technology or business management.
Years of Experience:
- Three (3) years+ of demonstrable sales experience within the technology or IT services industry.
Other Requirements:
- Broad commercial and technology understanding of cloud, datacentre, and cyber security.
- Good understanding of software licensing procurement and management processes.
- Specific experience and familiarity with the Irish market, in SMB and Enterprise.
- Good understanding of FinOps value proposition.
- Understanding of AI and ideally Microsoft Copilot.

- Commercial acumen and ability to construct and drive negotiated outcomes to achieve positive results.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to build and extend business networks within technology and target customer industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
