Job Title - Technical & Compliance Manager (Fire Door Sets) Salary: €75K - €85K DOE Hours: Full time 5 days An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Technical & Compliance Manager to join a leading Joinery Business, the role can be based in either Dublin or the Midlands area. This is a Senior Management position and as such you will be an important member of the Management Team. Technical Oversight Provide technical expertise in the design, manufacturing, and installation of fire-rated door sets. Work with the design and production teams to ensure products meet required specifications and industry standards. Conduct technical reviews of drawings, specifications, and product modifications. Manage and develop systems for product testing, evaluation, and certification. 2. Compliance Management Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, Maintain and update records for fire door test evidence, certification, and traceability. Conduct internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance. Liaise with certification bodies, third-party assessors, and regulatory authorities. 3. Quality Assurance Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems specific to fire doors. Identify and address quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement. Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing processes and finished products. Provide training to staff on compliance and quality standards. 4. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with customers, architects, contractors, and certification bodies to address technical queries. Work with sales and project teams to ensure accurate specifications and compliance requirements are met in project tenders. 5. Risk Management Identify and mitigate risks related to product safety, performance, and compliance. Investigate and resolve technical non-conformance or warranty issues. Ensure robust documentation of all compliance and technical processes. What you need to have: Qualifications & ExperienceEssential Extensive knowledge of fire door standards, regulations, and certification requirements. Experience in the joinery industry, specifically in fire-rated doors and door sets. Strong understanding of timber-based materials and joinery manufacturing processes. Proven track record in managing technical compliance within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with third-party certification schemes (e.g., Q-Mark, Certifire, or similar). Desirable Formal qualifications in Engineering, Construction, or a related field. Experience with CAD software for technical drawings and design. Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems. This is a permanent role with opportunities to progress your career further with a strong pipeline of work.
