Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a IT Support specialist to join a dynamic sports organization dedicated to supporting and growing its industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support to maintain, manage, and repair IT systems. This role also involves diagnosing software and hardware faults, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations, and liaising with third-party technology suppliers.

Responsibilities

- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
- Respond to service issues and requests in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support across the organization (in person and remotely).
- Set up accounts for new users and manage access controls.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot IT-related issues through data analysis.
- Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
- Test and evaluate new technology solutions.
- Collaborate with third-party technology suppliers and partners.

Requirements

- A relevant third-level qualification in Computer Science or Computing.
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and meet strict deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Experience working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to changing workloads and priorities.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving.
