Senior HV Electrical Engineer We are recruiting for a Senior HV Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Power Transmission & Distribution team in Dublin. In this role, you'll contribute to major projects that strengthen grid resilience, support renewable energy integration and deliver large-scale power infrastructure from concept to completion. You'll work with leading utilities and global clients, focusing on the design, review and delivery of high-voltage (HV) substations and grid systems across all project phases If you are an Senior HV Electrical Engineer who is looking for your next career move, send your CV to Kate OHerlihy or call for a confidential discussion. Responsibilities: Design and review HV substation layouts (33kV400kV) and primary plant. Prepare specifications and technical assessments for HV equipment and systems. Develop commissioning plans and review as-built documentation. Support HV design and construction monitoring, ensuring regulatory compliance. Provide technical expertise on HV systems including cables, substations and OHL. Collaborate across internal disciplines (civil, structural, protection, BIM/CAD, etc.). Contribute to innovative energy projects including HVDC, energy storage and smart grids. Deliver engineering services to clients in Ireland, the UK and internationally. Mentor junior engineers and support team development. Requirements: Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Chartered Engineer (or working toward chartership). 10+ years experience in HV substation design, delivery, or operation. Familiarity with Irish TSO/DNO standards (Eirgrid, ESB). Experience in HV equipment specification, automation, protection & control systems. Strong understanding of health and safety in HV design. Excellent coordination and communication skills. Ability to lead and support multidisciplinary teams. Experience across full project lifecycle.
