The Senior Account Manager Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the growth of Esri Ireland’s business by developing trusted relationships with identified growth accounts and nurturing those relationships over time. You will do this by maintaining and evolving strategic relationships that support the discovery of new opportunities to work together for mutual benefit.
As a Senior Account Manager, your responsibilities will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with key and strategic accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting business growth. Work activities associated with the role:
- Account Management: Develop and execute strategic account plans for key and strategic customers, including setting goals, identifying growth opportunities, and aligning them with the customer's objectives.
- Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders within the key and strategic accounts, including C-level, decision-makers, and champions. Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact, and ensure a high level of engagement with these customers.
- Always professionally represents Esri Ireland in line with Esri Ireland’s brand values.
- Know your customer: Conduct thorough needs assessments and identify pain points or challenges faced by these customers. Work closely with internal Esri Ireland teams to design solutions that address these needs effectively.
- Sales and Business Development: Drive sales growth by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities. Actively pursue new business opportunities and expand Esri Ireland’s footprint within these customers.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with identified growth accounts, ensuring a win-win outcome that balances both parties' interests.
- Customer Satisfaction and Support: Monitor customer satisfaction levels and proactively address any issues or concerns.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Esri Ireland teams to align strategies and initiatives with the goals and objectives of identified growth accounts. Provide feedback on market trends and customer requirements to inform business strategies.
- Understand the data: Analyse sales data, user data, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Industry and Market Knowledge: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities and potential partners that may impact our customers.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay updated with the competitive landscape in the market. Monitor competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and market trends. Provide feedback to Esri Ireland to help refine our positioning and competitive advantage.
- Relationship Expansion: Identify opportunities to expand the use of ArcGIS within these customers. Proactively identify key stakeholders and maintain existing and new relationships with key and strategic customers.
- Customer Success Management: Develop and execute account plans for named accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to monitor customer health, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to drive customer success.
- Qualify opportunities in accordance with our sales process and guidelines.
- Maintains accurate and timely sales pipeline reporting and forecasting.
What do we ideally look for in a Senior Account Manager?
- Relevant experience in a similar role or relevant experience in a Sales/ Customer Success function
- Relevant ICT industry experience and knowledge is desirable.
- Knowledge of the Geospatial Systems (preferable but not essential)
- Experience of requirements gathering, i.e., understanding a customer’s needs, and developing appropriate solutions to meet those needs.
