Cpl Healthcare are delighted to partner with our client in the recruitment of a Deputy Manager for a Mainstream Children’s Residential Service based in Portarlington, Co. Laois.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to join a dedicated team providing high-quality, child-centred care in a supportive residential environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.

- Lead, supervise, and support a team of residential care staff to ensure best practice in all aspects of care.

- Ensure the emotional, social, and educational needs of each young person are met in line with their individual care plans.

- Promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment in compliance with HIQA standards and regulatory requirements.

- Contribute to the ongoing development of the service and team through training, reflection, and professional growth.

Requirements

- A relevant qualification in Social Care or a related discipline (minimum Level 7).

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a residential childcare setting.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Strong understanding of HIQA regulations and child protection policies.

- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
