Job Purpose
The Sales Manager leads and drives the sales function to achieve business growth, revenue targets, and market expansion. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing customer relationships with small and medium customers, and supporting the sales team to deliver excellent service. The Sales Manager acts as the key link between customers, internal departments, and the leadership team to ensure sales objectives are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop, implement, and monitor sales strategies aligned with company goals.
Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients to expand the customer base.
Set clear sales targets and track performance to ensure consistent growth.
Collaborate with senior management to develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and go-to-market plans.
Team Management & Development
Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to achieve individual and team KPIs.
Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on customer service and results.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
Oversee the resolution of customer queries, escalations, or complex issues.
Conduct regular client meetings to review needs, provide updates, and identify opportunities for further collaboration.
Oversee accurate order processing, quotations, and proposals.
Track sales data, analyse performance trends, and prepare detailed reports for management.
Ensure CRM systems are up-to-date and all sales activities are recorded accurately.
Liaise with logistics, finance, and operations to ensure smooth order fulfilment and service delivery.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Proven ability to build lasting customer relationships and drive business growth.
Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and providing informed technical guidance on products.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Results-driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Sales or business development experience, including at least 2 years.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and building relationship with the clients.
Experience in building services, engineering, or a related technical sector
Relevant qualification in business, sales, or a technical discipline is preferred.
