Temporary Receptionist/ Administrator for a Law Firm

We are a hiring a Temporary Receptionist/Administrator, on behalf of a small but busy Law firm, based in Laois. 
**Please note: In order to be considered for this role, you must be available for immediate start and be fully available until the 3rd of October** 

Location: Portlaoise, Co. Laois 
Duration: ASAP- Friday 3rd October (Inclusive) (Please note: This may be subject to change, at any time) 
Rate: €14.50 per hour 

Key Responsibilities: 


Answering and managing phone calls from clients, barristers, and court contacts 
Diary management and scheduling 
Drafting and sending letters to clients updating them on court proceedings 
Liaising with barristers via phone and email 
Dictation (short, approx. 20 seconds) 
Scanning and processing post 
Other basic administrative tasks and paperwork, as needed 


Requirements: 


Previous administrative or reception experience is essential; experience in a legal environment is also advantageous 
A degree/interest in law, particularly criminal law, is desirable, but not essential 
Dictation experiance is required
Professional, confident, and personable with excellent interpersonal skills 
Ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations with discretion, patience, and empathy 
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times 
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and diaries efficiently 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
Attention to detail and accuracy in all administrative and correspondence tasks 
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) 
Flexible and adaptable, as the assignment duration may change at short notice 
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a small team
