Group Financial Accountant will play a key role within the Group Financial Control team, supporting the accurate and timely preparation of group financials. Working with the Group Accounting Manager, this role will manage the accounting consolidation, and support the wider finance team in effective reporting, on SAP. The ideal candidate will possess experience in group accounting and have a strong understanding of accounting process flows.

Responsibilities

- Contributes to the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reporting for the group
- Prepares group financial analysis and reconciliations in support of accurate financial reporting
- Works with the Group Financial Control team to record any adjusting entries and consolidation adjustments at month end and year end in accordance with IFRS
- Assists the Group Accounting Manager in the management and maintenance of the consolidation module in SAP, continuously working for a more effective and efficient financial period close
- Verifies that intercompany recharges have been appropriately processed, and intercompany positions are reconciled, at the end of each report period
- Provides support to the finance team in the effective and efficient use of SAP and related reporting tools
- Assists in the accounting and reporting of head office companies
- Assists in the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Contributes to the periodic reviews of business units reporting and accounting
- Supports the continual development of SAP process flows and related process documentation to support internal controls
- Works with the group to prepare any further analysis that may be required as part of the month end or year-end process
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

- A bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or related education is required
- A license as a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) is required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role is required
- Experience of consolidation and financial reporting experience in a complex environment, preferably with a multi-jurisdictional organization is preferred, or alternatively, experience in group audits within a large accounting firm
- Proven experience with financial reporting requirements, general ledger functions and the month end/year end close processes and audits
- Demonstrated experience using knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English
- Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Navision, SAP or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of other Reporting Tools (Jet Reports, Power BI or similar)

- Ability to work closely with Group Accounting Manager and finance teams
- Experience contributing to cross-functional reviews and reporting alignment
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Strong problem-solving skills to support accurate reporting and reconciliation
- Thoroughness in reviewing intercompany transactions and adjustments
- Clear and professional communication with internal teams and external auditors
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines during month-end and year-end close
- Willingness to continuously develop SAP and reporting tool proficiency
