About the Company This dynamic Irish company is a key player in the retail sector providing an extensive selection of high-quality products and consistently focused on meeting customer needs. With a track record of year-on-year growth, it proudly stands as one of niche food suppliers in Ireland, continuously driving innovation and success. About the Position The Group CFO will take full ownership of the finance function across all group entities. This is a strategic leadership role This key hire will report directly to the CEO and is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious CFO. a key member of the executive team, you who will lead the entire finance department, drive the overall business strategy alongside the CEO, and be responsible for evaluating people,business performance, and systems to ensure financial efficiency. You will be responsible for leading the financial strategy, planning, and management of this leading Irish company. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring the company's financial health, and supporting the execution of growth strategies. The Group CFO will design and implement the structures, systems, and controls needed to support rapid growth, prepare the group for future acquisitions, and ensure strong financial performance. The organisation has significant growth and development plans, and this role will be a key pillar to make sure everything is done on time, in a structured and efficient way always focused on strong decision-making and, most importantly, profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the group finance function, overseeing accounting, reporting, tax, treasury, and compliance. Partner with the CEO to define and drive the overall business strategy. Ensure strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. Implement systems and processes (ERP, BI, reporting) to improve efficiency and control. Lead funding and banking relationships; manage capital structure, financing, and cashflow. Support M&A transactions, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration. Evaluate and develop finance team talent; set clear responsibilities, KPIs, and accountability. Provide insight and advice to drive profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Work closely with operations to ensure strong control of stock, margins, and cash management. Key Requirements 1012 years PQE with progressive finance leadership experience. Strong track record in retail, FMCG, distribution, or logistics. Experience in multi-entity, multi-site businesses. Exposure to M&A, fundraising, and scaling businesses. Previous experience working closely with entrepreneurial/owner-led organisations is a strong advantage. Transaction services background desirable, especially combined with industry experience.
