Role: Review and enhance Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statement, aligning with ISO 45001 standards. Deliver safety induction training for new staff and maintain detailed training records. Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions swiftly and reporting findings. Identify and coordinate safety training needs, ensuring compliance with mandatory requirements (e.g., Safe Pass, IOSH). Evaluate subcontractor Safety Statements and monitor their safety performance. Provide accurate accident data for insurance claims and stakeholder updates. Represent the company in Health & Safety meetings, fostering a proactive safety culture. Leverage digital tools (e.g., safety management software) to streamline reporting and compliance. Support environmental and sustainability goals within EHS frameworks. Requirements: Degree in Health & Safety (or equivalent qualification, e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 6). The Health and Safety Manager will have 10+ years experience in construction health and safety, ideally with an Engineering contractor. Proven leadership skills, with experience managing EHS teams across multiple sites. Willingness to travel regularly across Leinster, UK, and Europe (approx. 30-40% of time, expenses covered). Familiarity with Irish and EU safety regulations. Strong communication and IT skills (e.g., MS Office, safety software). Package: Salary: €90k-€100k (commensurate with experience).
