Position Summary NeoDyne are recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Transmission & Distribution team. The successful candidate will support projects including Low Voltage (LV) pharmaceutical plants, and wind farm and solar farm substations. Prior experience in these areas is highly desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities Substation Design: Primary Plant Electrical Layouts, Control & Protection Design, LV Distribution and General Services Design
Reviewing Client or Employer Requirements for a project and ensuring design compliance
Producing specifications for various electrical equipment and assemblies (transformers, circuit breakers, instrument transformers etc.)
Reporting to the Lead or Senior Engineering Manager on projects
Carrying out Pre-Commissioning of Substations and Commissioning of Customer HV/MV substations
Providing guidance and training to junior and graduate engineers
Required Experience & Skills Level 8 Degree in Electrical, Energy Engineering, or equivalent
3+ years/' experience in a similar electrical or substation design role
Experience in developing Electrical Schematics using EPLAN
Experience in developing equipment layouts using AutoCAD, Primtech or similar
Desirable Knowledge and experience in the Energy sector
Experience using the following software: EPLAN, AutoCAD, Amtech, Primtech, Elek
Knowledge of Excel for calculations
Characteristics Work well as part of a team
Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills
Ability to complete tasks independently and self-learn
Ability to prioritise and coordinate work
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
