Job Description

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

- Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits.

- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial control and reporting.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and financial policies.

- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting and finance department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful GL Accountant should have:

- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

- Professional qualification or part-qualification in accounting (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA).

- Experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. SAP S4HANA highly desired.

- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
