Role

Assists in the preparation of basic supporting calculations and documentation used in corporate tax compliance filings for the Corporations legal entities across the EMEA region. Works to understand and apply processes used by the Corporate Tax Group when completing tasks. Assists with basic research and analysis as tax issues arise. Be a team player and able to work under pressure during peak periods.

Major Duties:

1. Assists in the preparation of basic supporting calculations and documentation used in relevant corporate tax filing obligations.
2. Ability to complete assigned tasks within the designated timeframe with good attention to detail.
3. Ability to perform basic research on corporate tax issues as requested by higher level staff.
4. Attends meetings with various internal and external partners, and develops working relationships with those partners. Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms.
5. Works to understand the processes, controls and risk management framework adopted by the Corporate Tax Group.
6. Gains familiarity with the relevant tax technology software. Ability to use available software to efficiently complete assigned tasks, such as Excel and Word.
7. Eagerness to learn through on the job training and coaching from higher level staff.

Skills/Experience

1. Previous experience in financial services or working within Tax.
2. An interest in international corporate tax compliance and related concepts.
3. Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to follow processes and document accordingly.
5. Highly numerate with strong organisational and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
