Sanderson are partnering with an International Reinsurance organisation to recruit for a Reinsurance Accountant. Join the dynamic Reinsurance Operations team and take ownership of accounting for a portfolio of reinsurance contracts. Our client are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across departments. As a Reinsurance Accountant, you will: Verify underwriting data for quota share and excess of loss contracts. Maintain accurate premium records, including endorsements, adjustments, and cash allocations. Oversee all aspects of quota share programs, including bordereau reporting and claims payments. Monitor and manage aging accounts receivable. Liaise with brokers and underwriters to resolve queries and reconcile outstanding items. Complete monthly close processes in underwriting systems. Support ad hoc projects and tasks as needed. What We're Looking For University degree in a relevant field. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the insurance or reinsurance industry. Ability to read and interpret reinsurance contracts. Experience with underwriting systems and financial reporting in SOX/SEC environments. Fluency in English; additional languages French, Spanish, etc. are a plus. Solid understanding of reinsurance terms, contracts, and settlement practices.
