Senior Software Engineer in Test

As a senior member of our QA Team, you will take the lead in automating our testing processes - from identifying the most effective tools to implementing and maintaining them. You will play a pivotal role in automating various testing areas, leveraging the use of cutting-edge tools, and driving continuous improvements to ensure the highest standards of quality and prevent any bugs slipping through.
What Responsibilities would you have?
1. Design and implement robust automated test frameworks and tools
2. Drive continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and methodologies
3. Define test requirements and develop test plans
4. Automate comprehensive testing strategies for frontend and backend systems
5. Ensure high test coverage across different areas of testing
6. Participate in code reviews and ensure automated test code quality and maintainability
7. Build strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams
8. Establish and maintain best-practice QA documentation
9. Provide technical mentorship to junior QA engineers, promoting best practices in automation
What background should you bring?
We're looking for a person with an appetite for learning, and the following core skillset:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience
2. Minimum 6 years of experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in both manual and automated testing
3. Experience building automated test suites and end-to-end user flows
4. Strong programming skills in at least one major language (Python preferred)
5. Advanced knowledge of API testing methodologies and tools
6. Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
7. Demonstrated leadership experience in driving QA strategy and execution
8. Deep understanding of Agile development practices and QA integration
9. Proven ability to maintain excellence under pressure and strict deadlines
10. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
11. Track record of successful collaboration with diverse technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with cloud-based test automation platforms
2. Proficiency with performance and load testing tools
3. Experience implementing automated frameworks for performance or security testing
4. Knowledge of containerisation and microservices architecture
5. Certifications in relevant QA methodologies or tools
