Nurse - Navan, Co. Meath Whistlemount Day Centre, is currently recruiting for a Day Centre Nurse, working 15 hours per week. This is a permanent contract of employment, with no weekend or shift work. Based in Whistlemount Day Centre, 6 liscarton Villas, Kells Road, Navan, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. Our vision is an Ireland where people on the journey of dementia are valued and supported. A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is person centred, rights-based and grassroots led with the voice of the person with dementia and their carer at its core. You will need good communication, organisation and management skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. You must be registered with An Bord Altranais as RN or RMN. Proof of registration will be required prior to commencement. This role promotes a model of care which is person centred, community focused and has an appreciation of the needs of the carer. The purpose of this position is to ensure that as many clients as possible are cared for in a safe and stimulating environment appropriate to their individual needs to the highest possible standard. To be successful in this role you will need experience of working with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. Registered with NMBI is essential. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with the care sector, and dependent on relevant experience.
