Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Location: Navan and surrounding areas

Hours: Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

Pay: Up to €17.00 per hour

This is a home care role - You will be visiting and supporting clients in their own homes in Navan.

Right to work: NO VISA SPONSORSHIP - all applicants must have the legal right to work in Ireland.

At Bluebird Care Meath, we are expanding our team in Navan and are seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants to deliver top-quality care to people in the comfort of their own homes. This is more than a job — it's a chance to be part of something meaningful in your local community.

What is Home Care? As a Home Care Assistant, you'll support people in their own homes, helping them stay independent and live with dignity in their community. You are not based in a hospital or nursing home; you travel from home to home within your local area.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Helping with meals and feeding support
  • Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
  • Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry, etc.)
  • Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
  • Accurately following and documenting care plans
  • Encouraging independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Pay & Benefits
  • Up to €15.00/hour for qualified and experienced carers
  • Up to €17.00/hour on Sundays
  • Double pay on Bank Holidays
  • Bi-weekly pay

Your Role Will Include

What You\'ll Need

We welcome both new and experienced carers who have:

QQI Level 5 modules in:

  • Care Skills or Healthcare Support
  • Care of the Older Person

OR

  • 1+ year of care experience and a willingness to complete the two required modules (provided FREE by us)
  • Good spoken and written English
  • A full, Irish driving licence and access to a vehicle is required
  • Legal right to work in Ireland - sponsorship not available
