Job Description

Teamworx are delighted to be recruiting a Financial Accountant on behalf of our client,one of Ireland's most established and trusted department store retailers.

The role:

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role is pivotal in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting to support key business decisions. This is a fixed term contract for 9 months.

Responsibilities:

- Produce monthly management accounts and ensure financial information is up-to-date and accurate

- Prepare trial balances in readiness for annual audits

- Oversee and control monthly reporting for cash and bank reconciliation across stores

- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare statutory accounts

- Manage VAT and PAYE return submissions

- Conduct labour cost tracking and analysis

The ideal candidate:

- 2–5 years' relevant experience, ideally in financial accounting, audit, or reporting roles

- Strong knowledge of Irish tax, VAT, PAYE, and statutory reporting requirements

- Proficiency with Excel, accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)

- Good communication and analytical skills

- Strong attention to detail
