Overview Senior Analyst, Trade Operations at Fidelity Investments. This role focuses on the day-to-day activities to ensure all trade confirmation and settlement processes, reporting, and inquiry responses are completed timely and accurately for the Fidelity Trading Desk FX and equity activities.
Responsibilities Ensure trade confirmation and settlement processes are completed accurately and timely for Fidelity’s Trading Desk FX and equity activities.
Monitor transactional confirmation, fails resolution, escrow activity and settlement.
Communicate issues and take initiative to proactively resolve and prevent problems with internal Trading Desks, Broker, Custodian Banks, and other business partners.
Identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues or potential operational risk; escalate high-risk items and develop solid action plans to resolve daily operational issues.
Participate as a Subject Matter Expert on projects and collaborate with internal teams to identify process improvements.
Work effectively within a team environment to manage daily work volumes and maintain quality standards.
Deliver effective written and verbal communication to appropriate business partners.
Qualifications 3-5 years of financial services experience, preferably with exposure to Custody Operations and/or Trade/Fixed Income Life Cycle management.
2 years of experience in Trade Life Cycle, Settlements or Fails. FX experience is an advantage.
Experience with OMGEO Alert, CTM, CLS, OMS, MISYS preferred.
Proficient in software applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; working knowledge of agile methodologies.
Strong time management, attention to detail, and data analytical skills.
Value You Deliver Monitoring transactional confirmation, fails resolution, escrow activity and settlement.
Communicate issues and take initiative to proactively resolve and prevent problems.
Perform market-specific processes to ensure confirmation and settlement in challenging foreign markets.
Coordinate with internal Equity/Fixed Income/FX Trading Desks, Broker, Custodian Banks, and other business partners to manage operational challenges efficiently.
Deliver effective written and verbal communication to appropriate business partners.
Impact on the Organization The Global Middle Office acts as a servicing centre for Fidelity’s trading desks globally, facilitating confirmation and settlement of security and currency transactions with brokers and custodian banks, coordinating corporate actions, and supporting daily cash estimates and risk management.
