The Role

This role is pivotal in ensuring effective and seamless communication within our fast-paced, innovative technology environment. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging and innovative internal communications plans that foster energy, excitement, and momentum to enhance employee engagement, and create further connection and alignment to our vision, values and behaviours embodied through our Brand.

You will have access to our leadership team and have the resource necessary to energise and excite our Cubicans around our strategy, our OKRs, our culture, our performance and Cubic as a place our employees willingly recommend.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Working with Leadership, develop and execute internal communications plans that align to our vision, OKRs, values, leader behaviours and our brand.
2. Create and communicate inspiring and company aligned key messages that are consistent and powerfully received. Weave these messages into important Company events and internal communications such as:
3. Business performance announcements
4. Organisational announcements
5. Quarterly Town Halls
6. Monthly Company updates
7. Leadership blogs/updates
8. Slack channels and interest groups
9. Company newsletter
10. Internal employee events
11. Leadership offsites
12. Learning and Development events
13. Onboarding communications
14. Employee handbook and policies
15. Job advertisements and role profiles
16. Create clear and compelling messages for a variety of internal platforms, including email, intranet, Slack and presentations.
17. Partner with different departments to ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all internal communications.
18. Create and manage the internal communications strategy and roadmap and coordinate with stakeholders to schedule and prioritise announcements.
19. Support and align with our new brand narrative and tone of voice, developed by Marketing, to deliver consistent experiences and messages across our network of offices.
20. Develop and manage strategies to enhance Cubic's employer brand both internally and externally. Working with Marketing, craft compelling messaging and content to attract and engage potential employees through various channels including LinkedIn, Glassdoor, blogs, and other social media.
21. Monitor the effectiveness of internal communications strategies and tools, and provide recommendations for improvement.
22. Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communication efforts. Analyse data and feedback to continuously improve communication strategies and tactics.
23. Assist in and project manage the planning and execution of company-wide events and initiatives, such as town halls, webinars, and employee recognition programs.
24. Co-ordinate and oversee live internal events 'on the day' from an agenda and speaker perspective.
25. Provide communications support to the leadership team, including speechwriting and preparation of briefing materials.
26. Stay abreast of internal communication trends and best practices, and integrate innovative approaches to engage employees.
27. Work as part of the People and Office team to embed our Employee Experience and People strategy.
28. Play an active role with our Empower Group and lead the development and implementation of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum of six (6) years of experience in an internal communications or Employee Experience role within a global technology setting.
2. Great creativity, energy and enthusiasm to support the drive for our strategy and our culture.
3. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear and compelling messages.
4. Proven experience bringing a project from a concept to completion, for example, bringing values to life, ensuring consistent and strong messaging on Company objectives, and helping to communicate our vision.
5. Strong understanding of and ability to influence the adoption of excellent communication practices and techniques, including digital communication tools.
