THISISPOPBABY Theatre Company is seeking an inspirational and visionary Executive Producer. This is a senior leadership position in the company as it celebrates 20 years of redefining Irish theatre with a landmark programme of work, while planning for the next two decades of theatrical revolution. The right candidate is passionate about art and supporting artists as they make exceptional theatre, experienced in delivering incredible events and compelled to bring audiences on artistic adventures. They will have extensive experience in a senior role in the arts or similar environment, and excellent local, national and international networks to help deliver bold, ambitious work. They are familiar with THISISPOPBABY’s work, share our values, and are as passionate as we are about making ground-breaking art that provides an electrifying access point to the arts for audiences and artists alike. About the Organisation
THISISPOPBABY has been igniting stages around the world for nearly two decades with an exhilarating mix of theatre, night club, festival and activism.
Founded by Phillip McMahon and Jennifer Jennings, THISISPOPBABY is a groundbreaking Irish theatre company that rips up the space between popular culture, counterculture and radical performance, creating bold, socially-charged work, challenging industry conventions and creating new benchmarks for what theatre can mean to audiences.
Known for progressing the form and impact of theatre in Ireland, as well as a commitment to underrepresented voices - queer, feminist, and working-class narratives in particular - THISISPOPBABY has become a vital force in Irish arts and a distinct offering internationally.
The company has thrived at the cutting edge of contemporary live performance in Ireland, pioneering large-scale shows such as WAKE, RIOT and Alice In Funderland, incendiary multidisciplinary festivals Where We Live and Queer Notions, iconic underground performance like WERK and Salty, and award-winning new writing.
To date, the work has played to audiences of over 500,000, collaborating hundreds of incredible artists to light up our cities and speak to the world through the lens of what it means to be Irish.
