Overview I’m actively hiring for a Field Service Engineer for a rapidly growing IT solutions provider based in Cork. This is a varied and mobile role where you’ll provide IT support and solutions directly to the client’s customers, both on-site and remotely. If you enjoy working independently, troubleshooting real-world IT issues, and building strong client relationships, this role will be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities Provide on-site and remote IT support to customers across the Cork area
Install, configure, and maintain servers, PCs, laptops, printers, and networking equipment
Support and administer Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and desktop operating systems
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Maintain and document accurate records of client systems
Support networking infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, cabling)
Escalate complex issues where necessary and liaise with vendors
Ensure service tickets are resolved within agreed SLAs
Requirements 2–4 years’ experience in IT support, systems administration, or field service
Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and desktop environments
Networking experience (switches, firewalls, routing, IP addressing, VPNs)
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Full, clean driving licence (essential – mobile role)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
Microsoft or Cisco certifications (e.g. MCSA, MS-102, CCNA)
Experience with remote monitoring & management (RMM) tools
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions
Familiarity with virtualisation (Hyper-V or VMware)
