This position is a hybrid position based in our new state of the art Head Office in Maynooth - an open plan office, with wonderful collaborative working areas, subsidised canteen, EV charging points, and is easily accessible by car or public transport.

The Financial Accountant will be assigned the responsibility and accountability for a portfolio of entities in the group. The position will support and participate in the monthly, half year and annual consolidation and statutory reporting processes. A dynamic role offering exposure across the entire finance function. Key Responsibilities and Duties (not limited to)

1. Ownership of a portfolio of entities within the group including responsibility for completion of all month end functions in the preparation of accurate and timely management reports
2. Responsibility for revenue recognition on forward fund and construction contracts
3. Support the group reporting processes
4. Coordinate and participate in the drafting of the single entity financial statements
5. Participate in half year and year end reporting including financial statement preparation
6. Liaise with the group’s internal and external auditors
7. Assist in the preparation of the annual report, the coordination and response to internal audit reviews and the maintenance and update of the risk register
8. Support the annual and quarterly budgeting and reforecasting processes
9. Partner with departments across the business, provide informative analysis on margin, overhead and capex variances
10. Review and enhance processes to streamline financial reporting and improve controls
11. Provide input into Finance related projects, as required

Technical/Professional

1. Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA)
2. 'Big 4' trained
3. Experience in the construction industry is a bonus
4. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Solver an advantage
5. Ability to work across several workstreams and meet strict deadlines
6. Self-motivated and solution driven
