Primtac Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering company for the role ofTraffic & Road Licensing Manager. This is a key position within the business, responsible for overseeing road opening licences, reinstatement programmes, and ensuring compliance across multiple infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will act as the central link between the company, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and the public. You will also manage dedicated teams on the ground, making sure works are delivered efficiently, safely, and with minimal disruption. Responsibilities: Take ownership of all road opening licence applications and compliance requirements. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with councils, emergency services, utility providers, and other stakeholders. Coordinate reinstatement schedules, ensuring works are completed on time and in line with performance targets. Provide daily support and direction to reinstatement crews, carrying out inspections and audits to monitor quality and standards. Manage public notifications and communications relating to road closures, diversions, and service outages. Prepare progress updates, reports, and documentation for senior management. Act as the first point of contact for any issues, queries, or escalations linked to road licensing or reinstatement works. Ensure internal systems are kept fully up to date for reporting and client visibility. Support resource planning and team development within a fast-moving environment. Requirements: Previous experience in road licensing, reinstatement management, or a similar civil engineering/utilities role. Strong organisational and compliance management skills with excellent attention to detail. Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Leadership experience with the ability to manage, motivate, and support operational teams. Comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines. Full, clean drivers licence. Relevant technical qualification would be an advantage but not essential. Salary & Benefits: Attractive salary package based on experience.
