Mechanical Project Engineer
CREGG have an exciting new opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Galway-based multinational medical device manufacturer. Great opportunity for candidates who want to break in to the medical device sector.
Work/Life Balance: 1 day work from home and a 1pm Friday finish
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with customers to understand requirements and propose creative and cost-effective solutions regarding equipment builds.
- Generates request for quotations for external suppliers for new and upgrade equipment.
- Ensures Equipment requests are processed in a timely and effective fashion and manage execution of results.
- Participates on cross-functional Design Reviews.
- Understanding or knowledge of Project Management.
- Document meetings and coordinate status reports and approvals on deliverables.
- Manage multiple project activities whilst working with internal & external cross-functional groups.
- Understand and adhere to project milestones & overall timelines set out.
- Calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements.
- Coordinates and prioritizes internal and vendor related activities as they pertain to service, maintenance, upgrades, etc.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience.
- Excellent analytical, system analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project management tools.
- Ability to monitor schedule deviations and assist in the development of alternative methods for corrective action at the project level.
