Your New Job Key duties and responsibilities: Manage the finance function and team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust internal controls. Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and longer-term financial planning in alignment with the companys strategic goals. Focus on cost analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments for the companys product portfolio. Oversee and participate in the preparation of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Support the leadership team with monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and insights to drive business performance and improve cost efficiency. Work closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to assess market opportunities, pricing adjustments, and cost-effectiveness of initiatives. Provide oversight, guidance and support to the finance team on financial reporting and accounting duties. Supervise cash flow and working capital management, ensuring financial stability. Monitor financial performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations. Support business growth by evaluating investment opportunities, funding requirements, and return on investment for new projects. Lead ERP improvements and reporting enhancements to streamline operations and increase efficiency. Act as a key contributor to product development processes, offering insights on costings, margins, and financial feasibility. Drive ESG initiatives and targets, including sustainability and environmental accounting. Build and maintain excellent relationships with the internal and external stakeholders. Manage, mentor, and develop a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Actively participate in cross-functional management meetings, contributing to Operational, Marketing, Quality and NPD strategy discussions. What Are We Looking For? Qualified Accountant with at least 4 years post-qualification experience. Strong experience in financial management, with a focus on cost analysis, pricing, and commercial strategy. Background in food production or FMCG sectors is preferred. Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders. Knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices and regulations is an advantage. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
