A Clinical Nurse Manager is required for an established nursing home in Galway. This role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in a dynamic and forward-thinking company that provides excellent support.
Position: Clinical Nurse Manager
Reporting to: Director of Nursing
Qualifications Registered Nurse with NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).
Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, the Health Act 2007, and related regulations for older person care.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a SSN.
Additional Skills Interest in Gerontology
Proven CPD
Passionate about delivering safe, excellent care for older people
Flexible, team-oriented, committed
Leadership by example
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Supervision: Provide clinical leadership, supervise staff, lead infection control.
Operational Management: Support the Nurse Manager, manage staffing, handle notifications.
Quality Care: Deliver evidence-based nursing, monitor resident well-being.
Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance, contribute to policy development.
Training and Education: Organize staff training, lead orientation, promote professional development.
Communication and Teamwork: Facilitate effective team communication.
Salary and Benefits: Attractive package including shift premiums, 20 days annual leave, and other benefits.
Salary scales follow the INMO Scale with incremental pay (October 2024).
