Cleantech Civils is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager and Site Engineer for a key infrastructure project based in Tullamore, Co. Kerry. This role involves overseeing the construction of a substation and associated grid route.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reporting directly to a Contracts Manager, overseeing site managers/engineers and subcontractors, and taking full responsibility for the safe, timely execution of the works in accordance with the budget, programme, and quality requirements.
2. Experience in reinforced concrete structures is essential.
3. Wastewater large diameter pipework experience is essential.
4. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise from details issued or from situations as they arise on site.
5. Keeping the project team informed on all relevant aspects of technical & engineering issues that arise on the project.
6. Ensuring that contractors on site execute works as per method statement & risk assessment.
7. Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.
8. Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
9. Assisting with the selection and requisition of materials and plant management.
10. Monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect.
11. Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project day-to-day.
12. Setting the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
13. Maintaining and managing construction sites and subcontractors, ensuring all subcontractors follow Cleantech Civils procedures and processes.
14. Establishing and promoting best quality, safety & environmental practices.
15. Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification:
- Minimum third-level qualification (or equivalent) in Construction/Civil Engineering or similar.
- Extensive experience managing projects within a civils/water environment.
- Experience with MS Project.
- Valid Safe Pass and/or SMSTS and/or MSIC cards.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a methodical approach are key.
- Ability to lead, use initiative, and be self-motivated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management and planning skills.
The Site Engineer will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are made regularly.

14. Promote customer focus throughout the organization.
15. Establish and promote EHS awareness on site.
Selection Criteria / Person Specification:
- Minimum third-level qualification (or equivalent) in Construction/Civil Engineering or similar.
- 2-3 years of site-based setting out experience.
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, environmental, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency with robotic total station or EDM instruments.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook.
- Experience with temporary work coordination is a benefit.
- Experience with MS Project.
