Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer Data Centre Projects (Ireland / EMEA) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead large-scale data centre projects across Ireland and the EMEA region. This position involves full project ownership from concept and detailed design to client handover ensuring technical excellence, quality delivery, and strong client relationships. Key Projects Youll contribute to a range of major data centre developments, including: 50MW Hyperscale Facility Dublin: Full electrical design delivery including MV/LV distribution, standby generation, and critical systems. Enterprise Campus Expansion Frankfurt: Multi-building project integrating modular power infrastructure and advanced monitoring. Retrofit & Sustainability Upgrade Amsterdam: Energy optimisation and resilience enhancement for an operational Tier III data centre. Requirements Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered status an advantage) 10+ years experience in electrical building services design, preferably in data centre environments Strong knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN standards Proficient in AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and Revit Confident leading projects independently and managing multidisciplinary coordination Key Responsibilities Lead electrical design and specification for data centre projects from concept to completion Oversee quality assurance, tender documentation, and site coordination Develop internal design standards and mentor junior engineers Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to ensure delivery excellence Manage reporting, budgets, and resource planning for assigned projects Benefits €65K€75K (DOE) Flexible hybrid working 2025 days annual leave Pension scheme & health insurance allowance Professional development & chartership support Active social and wellbeing programme If you are a Design Engineerwho is looking for your next career move, please send your CV toGrace Birchor callfor a confidential discussion.
