Electrical Design Engineer - Energy, Infrastructure & Renewables If you're an Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on major energy and infrastructure projects across Ireland, this is an opportunity to join one of the country's leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancies. This firm is expanding its Energy Division, delivering projects in power generation, renewable energy, grid connection, and high-voltage infrastructure. You'll play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems that support Ireland's transition to a more sustainable energy future. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver electrical engineering solutions for HV substations, renewable energy grid connections, rail electrification, and power transmission/distribution systems Support senior engineers in preparing detailed design reports, layouts, schematics, and technical documentation Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver compliant, innovative and sustainable designs Apply working knowledge of EirGrid, ESB, and industry standards in all design outputs Contribute to project delivery across wind, solar, and infrastructure sectors Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Electrical or Power Engineering 2-5 years' experience in electrical design, ideally within the energy, utilities, or renewables sectors Proficiency with AutoCAD, HV cable or substation design software, and MS Office Knowledge of power generation, protection systems, and HV/LV distribution Strong communication and teamwork skills Why Join This Company?
