ABOUT THE JOB: The Floor Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and 2IC (second in command) in the day to day running of the department / store, including staff, stock control, sales, health & safety and more. You will need to make certain that our standards of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times thus ensuring revenue is optimized. YOUR JOB your tasks will include: Achieve clearly defined individual and team sales and customer service targets. In conjunction with the Store Manager manage the store business operations, including managing profit and loss, special promotions, merchandising, displays and events, safety and security. Joint responsibility alongside the manager and 2IC for stock management, including ordering, price changes, execution of stocktakes, handling damaged products and returns. Provide world class customer service; be on hand to help customers by providing information; answer questions; obtain merchandise requested; complete payment transactions and prepare merchandise for delivery. Analyse and interpret trends to facilitate planning. Maintain current knowledge of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitions are doing.
